Cuba’s President Issues 9/11 Commemoration, Accuses U.S. Government Of “State Terrorism”
MIAMI — Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 by invoking a Fidel Castro quote to accuse the United States of practicing “state terrorism” against Cuba.
The post landed days after Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters in Ecuador that “the left destroyed Cuba” and accused left-wing governments across the hemisphere of aligning with drug trafficking organizations.
Miami Beach Approves GTA VI Deal In Heated 4-3 Vote, While Miami-Dade’s Bigger “Vice City” Plan Remains Stalled
MIAMI BEACH — Miami Beach’s City Commission voted 4-3 to approve a scaled-down GTA VI marketing deal worth $3-4 million, restricting to beach umbrellas and chairs, following a heated debate over the game’s violent content.
The vote stands in sharp contrast to Miami-Dade County’s far larger “Vice City” proposal, which would extend branding to the airport, PortMiami, and Metrorail but remains stalled without a scheduled hearing.
That broader plan now faces opposition not just from the sheriff and a commissioner, but from the county's chief judge and court clerk as well.
