Lula is betting on mobilizing roughly 30 million voters who stayed home, as seen at his Avenida Paulista rally in São Paulo on Sunday, while Bolsonaro builds a coalition with allies like Ronaldo Caiado and local officials in Lula’s backyard in the country’s northeast before the October 25 vote.

The comments repeat the position Montevideo has held since the disputed July 2024 vote, even as Rodríguez promises elections without a date and the United States engages with her government.
